Weaver Royal Hudson Motor Replacement

Good Afternoon Group.

Has any one replaced the motor in a 2-rail Weaver Royal Hudson and if so which motor did you use? I am going to convert my unit to DCC (with Dead Rail) and thought there might be a better performing motor available.

Northwest Short line has a variety of motors available in many sizes and various shafts. However, if the problem is the motor is too quick, takes off fast and won't crawl, the problem could be the gearing or electronics.
