I have a brass Weaver Canadian National U4a with TMCC. The sound cuts out as it goes through left curves on my layout. All other TMCC functions work fine. It seems to be related to the wire tether from the tender to the locomotive - I do know that I have it securely plugged in. Any ideas how to fix the problem?

I'd check the connectors for any loose connections. For fixed connectors usually mounted in the locomotive, many times the pins will break the solder bond, you can resolder those and fix the issue. If that doesn't help, probably time to replace the tether.
Thanks for the suggestion. If I'm not successful with the pin connections or the tether needs replacing, does anyone know of someone who services Weaver TMCC brass locomotives in the northeast?
