Iam back!!!! Still getting to know this "unique" locomotive. Today I adapted the leads to my mezzanine layout in my garage so I could feed AC to both outer rails on my Atlas 3-rail track. These were setup to feed DC to the outer rails when I run O scale DC. I used spade connectors so I could continue use the leads for AC or DC. Now all I have to is remember to switch for the appropriate power!!!! I was wondering since the center rail is not being used could I run a Lionel locomotive with the Weaver locomotive? Remember this track has no switches.

You can't because the wheels on the 3-rail locomotives will short the running rails.
I remembered that about two minutes after I posted. No lionel locomotives and cars. Only two rail DC cars! Time to dig out my U.S. Army cars!

Been there/done that. You should see the fun I have at the club when I forget that the last time I ran a particular locomotive was on a 2-rail DCC layout and can't figure out why it doesn't respond on the 3-rail layout. Yep, left it in 2-rail/DCC mode with no pickup rollers installed.
I would have it rewired for DC operation but it does not have insulated drivers which would complicate things. It reminds me of the old outside third rail days!
