Picked up a Weaver VO1000, TMCC with railsounds. It runs great and the sond is good. However, I do not see a pot anywhere under the engine to control the volume.
I operate my TMCC with the Legacy base/remote. I can lower the volume RPM's and tower talk with the remote, but the bell and horn remain very loud.
Is there a pot inside the engine and if not, how can one lower the volume on the horn and bell?

Apparently you have the early version of the VO-1000. The first production run had Train America Studios SAW boards and no volume pot. Weaver added a volume pot a couple of years later, when they switched to EOB motherboards. No connection that I know of, just that they made both changes on the later production run.
So is there a way to add a pot-volume control? Connect direct to the speaker and find a location underneath the engine to control the volume. Do I need to be concerned about what type or rating for the pot?
