Got a yard at Hobby Lobby today, color like galvanized chain link.  One yard is doubled over so I actually got two yards.  Expensive stuff: it cost me about a buck fifty.  I can't even get a burger for a buck fifty any more.

Questions:

1. how do I go about cutting it straight?

2. what adhesive is best for attaching it to vinyl posts?

3. are there any other questions I should be asking?

Banjoflyer, is that a Hobby Lobby or Joanns item?

The one shown is sold online...https://www.ribbonresource.com/ribbon/1-5-inch-tulle-ribbon-grey/. You'd have to search Michaels or Joanne to see if they carry something like that. Better yet go to the stores in person to see and feel what they offer in tulle. I've seen tulle at Michaels but wasn't shopping for ribbon at the time. Color will be a big thing. I'd think it would have to be silver to look like chain link fencing.

The stuff I got from Hobby Lobby comes in about twenty colors.  The color I bought is a medium gray that will adequately pass for galvanized chain link fencing.  Of course if you really want a pink fence....!

I built my frame first to the size I needed from Polystyrene rods, after they are set, place a piece of glass on  graph paper, so you can square up the frame and glue the Tulle to the frame and not worry about it sticking to the paper.. Tape one end of the frame with a small piece of double sided tape to hold it while you are covering it with an over sized piece of Tulle. Tape the Tulle to the glass on one end so you can stretch it a little to  line it up with the frame. After it is lined up tape the other side to the glass. I use clear Gorilla glue applied with a tooth pick. If you miss a spot that's OK you can add a little dab after it dries. When the glue dries cut off the excess Tulle with a sharp razor blade. Spray light coats so the paint doesn't clog the holes.
