Fun with a gantry crane. It was modified for forward-backward motion based on the ideas in an article by David Smith in the Nov '09 Classic Toy Trains.
(I just viewed this on the OGR forum, and it was small and jerky. I recommend watching such HD video on the YouTube website itself. There's a link to YouTube in the lower right of the video screen.)

This is a video taken at my club mate's layout. Featured is my MTH Imperial C&O Allegheny steam engine. I borrowed a couple of Premier madison passengers to make a short consist. The layout is a 20'x25' twisted folded dog bone with a 200' double main. The yard lead goes into a wye under the bridge and then a multi-siding yard. I helped him design the track plan but his awesome terrain and building scenery has made this layout a work of art. Watch via Youtube to see in HD.
Great videos!
Obsidian, your Imperial locomotive is very nice and it looks so good running on that beautiful layout. I love you friend's layout...those are some of the best clouds I've seen painted on the walls.
Nothing new from me folks...I'm have a mess right now as I'm adding some items to my layout. I hope to post something new next weekend. So, here's some oldies...
I have no O gauge to post this week, so a recent video of a friend's HO scale layout will have to do.

Has the layout in the wonderful video that you posted ever been OGR Magazine?
The traditional annual report from the Nurnberg toy fair from Eisenbahn Romantik (in German only)... a good 2 minutes segment from MTH start at 19 minutes..included first unpainted pre-production of the first MTH HO German Steamer

Pennsyk4,
As far as I know it has not been photographed in any O gauge magazines though the owners previous layout had. This layout is only about a year old and is a work in progress (like almost everybody's). Out of respect to the owner I try not to tell/video a lot about this layout since I figure it will be a OGR feature when its done. Thanks for the compliment on the video but the star of this show is the layout.

Couldn't help myself...

Here is a video I posted a few weeks ago. This time I'm attempting to upload directly from my computer rather than via Youtube.
Very nice Rich!!! Got a little style to that horn.
Still experimenting with direct upload.
Video's I took at the Worlds Greatest Hobby Show in Portland, Oregon on 2-25-2012
