I can't go anywhere without him following me. His name is Mannix. If you are old enough, you'll recognize that name.

Jason, I have been following your layout build for the last few years. Really like the track plan. You have inspired me to start planning my next layout. Do you have a track plan you would be willing to share? Also what is the grade of the under table reversing loop.
Thanks

Scott, it's a good start.......just getting the trains running again can give you a boost to do more.

A short video (<10seconds) which I believe is very realistic.....
Shout out to modular member Walt S for his realistic modeling!

Great photos from everyone this week! I haven't posted here is a really long time but I have made progress on the layout and wanted to share a few pics.
It's still a work in progress and I've been working on it almost daily so it's constantly changing.

Thanks for all the great photos everyone. Will see if I can dig up something in my archives.

You certainly did. He was in that movie and several others. His celebrity has been more of a curse then a benefit. He can't go anywhere without being hounded by the pupparazzi. Now he stays inside most of the time playing with trains.
Finally got my Lion Chief Universal Remote. It is easy to program and works well. Still see there are a few "advanced" steps in the manual to look over but for now am running trains!

Andrew, I like the use of faux fur for grass.
Andre you've done it again. The roof top unit is a winner.

Boo Man posted:I previously did my skies. I put in 3 hours this afternoon and partially painted some backdrop hills, fields, and trees. Since I am painting on the basement concrete walls, you can see all the holes. I am having some problems with the detailing of the hills and fields because the brushes are not working well with the texture of the concrete walls. I will put in the foreground trees and bushes tomorrow. I am attaching before and after photos of what I did today.
Painting on concrete is tough, you've done a terrific job with this sir!
When I did ours, I used 4 x 8 sheets of Masonite which I was able to take with me when we sold the home...

C.sam,
Thanks. You can still see all the imperfections in the foundation in the blue skies, but, when I get to the point of taking pictures of the layout, I can address that easily. I couldn't afford to finish the basement, but I did not want that to hold me back from building a layout.
There are several members of this forum that are fantastic modelers. That is intimidating. I am happy with the result so far and appreciate the compliment from one of those modelers.

After a four-year search, I finally found a set of MTH passenger cars for my H1 and actually got them at a decent price -- brand new in box yet!. I may have a line on the RPO, but the sleeper/diner set is nowhere to be found for now.
