Picked up the Lionel set over the holidays when I saw it on a boxing day sale,  been looking at the General set by Lionel for a while. Colors just looked nice.

Was really impressed by the color, detail and quality of the paint work on this set. Really looks sharp.

So finally dug around my collections and put all the Coca-Cola themed items together for the first time.

The Atlas truck out front with the lights, the original set of lights was very dull and ate batteries pretty fast, so I took a color LED light string and replaced it, mounted 3 of the bulbs at end of string on a piece of cardboard to shine back at the truck to illuminate the image on the side and battery pack sits under the snow cover. (normally displayed in a white snow theme on the layout).

Truck looks much better with a set of brighter colored lights and the batteries last a lot longer.

Looking forward to all the photos each week. Thanks all for sharing.

Greg, Thank you!

The kids certainly love the layout & I like having them in there to run the trains with me.  Makes the hobby a lot more fun

Chris I was looking at your postwar Flickr album and see you have the Wabash CC F3. How do you like it? Do you know what sets it was included with?

Thank you everyone for the kind words on my mural. It was painted eight years ago by a friend (paid) of one of my neighbors. I took pictures of what I wanted depicted in the  painting and he came up with this design. For those who don't know where this is, it's Philadelphia Center City. The green area surrounds The Museum of Art and not shown further to the right is Boat House Row on the Schuylkill River. Also not shown on the far left side is the Ben Franklin Bridge over the Delaware River. I'll try to show them in future postings. I thought he did a great job. Thanks again.
