ROB LEESE the Williams O gauge locomotive shell they call a "GP9" looks identical to the Bachmann HO scale GP7 diesel locomotive shell. It seems these GM-EMD GEEPS have all been stuck with inaccurate labels in O scale/O gauge.
Today the Tinplate Trackers of Austin Texas tore down our modular layout and closed the books on our 10th Holiday Display. It's been another awesome year filled with trains, hidden minions, candy canes, and smiling faces.
Our first 3 years we were sponsored by the 2nd Street District in Austin. For the last 7 years we have graciously been hosted by the City of Round Rock and the Downtowner Gallery. We open the Friday after Thanksgiving and go til around New Year. We shared our love of trains with roughly 18.5 thousand people this holiday season.
As a fundraiser we rent trains to the aspiring young and young at heart engineers for a small donation. This has allowed us to do substantial improvements to our layout and trailers.
Here are a few pictures I took of the layout. Thank you all for another wonderful year!
