I have to leave first thing in the morning to drive to York, so I am starting Weekend Photo Fun now.

This week I have been working on the multi-gauge layout in the basement of the VMT (Roanoke Valley Model Railroad Club). We have added a 4th loop almost at the ceiling tiles in the room. This 4th loop is O-27.

LOL!  If you can find them. Very RARE.

Yeah Chris, it took me over 10 years to collect all of them. Plus I had to custom make some. Big problem in O scale. Cant just buy all the versions at once. I still don't have any MEC diesels yet.

M131 out for a test run after rebuild with new 6-645 750 Hp diesel and new main generator and traction motors.  The baggage compartment rebuilt into a dining area with a small kitchen and tables and chairs.   The M131 will be used in the "OFF" season

when passenger traffic is slow.

Very true!  Few and far in between.

Now that I've switched tracks from modern O scale, to the trains of my youth.   I had fun at York getting MPC cars for my next layout.  It was the most I ever spent at York.  Which still wasn't that much, since  great deals can be found on MPC stuff.  You guys don't want any of it.   It's just cheap plastic!   Leave it all for me.😀

Hey, look what I found and dusted off. This old thing my uncle gave me a long, long time ago. While unpacking and setting up my laptop, I moved my travel case to a different part of my room, and here sits this old thing. I believe it is a Marx Commodore Vanderbilt, but I can't tell you the year as I am not well versed. It did get a new paint job when I was in my late teens as it was a little rusted up. I have not gotten it completely fixed as the light doesn't work, which I will have to fix. It used to have plastic cars with simple one set of wheels per side but these were clearly not with the original set up. So, I am guessing that may have been how my uncle came by it.IMG_20181020_184535167[1]IMG_20181020_184609946[1]

Chris,

May I ask where you got the MBTA decals.   (Island Modelworks ?).   I have some passengers cars that I'm going to custom paint.

Hi Mike. Ebay. They are actually HO decals but the work pretty good for O scale.
