Of note, the D&RG F3 is Postwar from 57-58 and runs beautifully.
It’s always easier to pull a train into the yard rather than backing in…….I did a “run around”.

Finally home: Running late due to a snow storm, this RDC has brought these commuters home.
Framed by boxcars this B&O bobber caboose has been earning its' keep for decades.
Photo/video show my Lionel Legacy model (2231120) of New York Central 2-8-0 Consolidation #960 on my 10’-by-5’ layout.
NYC class G-6i #960 was built for subsidiary Michigan Central Railroad as #7812 by Alco (Brooks Works) in June 1909. Tractive effort was about 45,500 pounds, locomotive weight was 244,500 pounds and total loaded weight (loco and tender) was 395,000 pounds. It was scrapped as New York Central #1195 in 1954.

A lot of progress this week towards creating what will create 2023 Christmas Layout memories
Got the back 4'x8' plateau done. That was a big step for me. The scenery will be connected to the front 4'x5' plateau when I'm all done.
Those pieces of paper represent the space that will be consumed when I put in place the models I made of various family member's houses.
The next area that needed done was the back right. The right side is 6'x11'

Mel…….that’s a fantastic engine. I recently got one and sold my TMCC one from the early/mid aughts. I am very pleased with it and used it this Fall to pull my Giraffe train.

Pat.......the sailor getting off the RDC (likely coming home for the holidays) is an iconic vignette!

I have you to blame for the consist! I love the disconnect cars! They work so well with the Shay.
The fine folks at the Lost Coast Distillery are working overtime to make sure all stockings are stuffed Christmas morning.
Santa Fe El Capitan pulling away after a station stop at Savana, IL This train was rerouted over the Milwaukee due to flooding on the Mississippi River due melting ice and heavy spring rains. Just noticed in this picture that the station might do more business if they correct the extremely high step-up to get to the platform level. Maybe it's due to the Milwaukee Road's lack of funds?

Though I'm not a SPF (Slobbering Pennsy Freak)... gotta' say that they had some very rugged and robust looking power, even their "small" late steam stuff. Example: I think the H10 Consolidations are "brutish" in appearance. I find them oddly attractive. Does this mean I need counseling?

Just got my Legacy L1 back from the Harmon Yards for it's motor shim fix. Good to have this engine running properly after the initial disappointment. Patt added some extra enhancements added as well. May need to consider some grimy black to dull down the green like Norm's 1369! Here's it posted to an H10 from 2016 with boiler / cab roof paint corrections from Harry Hieke.
Pat also added rod bolt detail to the L1 which is a super cool detail. Can't wait to give these locos a proper pike!

My buying new engine days are probably over, so I guess I will just have to show my old 3rd Rail L1.
Looks like the railroad has moved from its pier repair to painting the bridge. The tarps will keep some things that fly(birds,debris, extraterrestrial life, etc.) from disturbing the new paint. However, I'm not 100% sure if the bridge will look like new when completed. Only time will tell.

I have been a bit indiscriminate with my GGD heavyweight purchases, but I love these cars. I can always repaint some of them.
Wait a second, that's not GGD! That's a Weaver / Lionel!

I believe it was back in May 2008. I purchased a MTH 20-80007A PRR Li #1286 from my local dealer. I also ordered MTH 20-3296-1 PRR K4 #837 and MTH 20-3180-1 PRR L1 #520 from Jimmy-Homer City.
But the L1 from jimmy had a mismatched tender road number to the cab's 520.
Called Jimmy, they could not find to correct tender so returned it.
But did find a MTH 203180-1 on the "bay."
Also picked this Kline PRR L2 from a forum member.
