I just got back from Thursday at Quaker State Steak with many of my fellow forum members. Here are some pictures from this evening.

Happy Friday everyone!

The baby could come any day now, so trying to wrap up work on the layout. I almost have everything done. Just have to do the insulated tracks for the accessory activation this weekend.

Picked up the reissue of set 1608W this week. For some reason all the new Alcos seem to be very rough running. This one pulls decently but seems like it could be improved a bit

2329 Virginian E33 leading 2505W on main 2-

Lucia running some trains -

Since I got to see the real 611 this past weekend, thought I would break out the 746 & run some excursions on the layout-

peaking of 611 - got to chase her from Spencer to Lynchburg & back. Didn't go through all the pics yet, but here are some I did get to so far -

Here she is steaming through Jamestown cut at Jamestown, NC -

Next shot was at Pelham, NC -

While waiting for 611 to head south out of Lynchburg, I decided to catch some freights. NS 159 w/ Dash-9 9726 leading, is seen approaching Goodman Crossing Rd in Lynch Station, VA on the Danville District

York Loot:

A couple of railroad pickup trucks from Diecast Direct. They're going to separate me from some more money for an item they didn't have there. The Lionel cars are from a Dow Chemical special run. I have a fond memory of Dow Chemical as my high school chemistry class got a tour of their Torrance, California plant (back when LA Unified School District was actually a learning institution). Charley from Nassau Hobbies had a DCS WiFi unit at a really good price and quickly separated me from some of my money. I actually came in under budget.

Fortunately for me, no one had any MTH scale-wheeled diesels in CNW or ATSF that weren't already in my roster.

New on the layout this week, thanks to Mike C. and the OGR for sale forum! MTH  NS 3333, the special Maersk-Sealand unit. It got some admiring looks from the townspeople while it waited at the station before going into service. No, Mike, I did not see one at York for $125!

Wow, that's looking really nice on your layout!  I'm having seller's remorse.  How much you want for it??
