For the last few weeks my posts have centered around things that I did on the layout in memory of my recently deceased sister (Last week: https://ogrforum.com/t...95#55771436684747995).
I'll show one of the main tributes, if that's the correct word, this week. Keep in mind that I only have a small point-and-shoot camera so it was quite difficult to get a good image of the screen.
What I did was take existing still pictures that I had and transferred them to a DVD. I would display an image for 2 minutes, then the next, and then the next, etc. each for 2 minutes. All along I played, and obviously captured, Christmas music by her 2 favorite artists: Johnny Mathis and Andy Williams. The whole thing took about 30 minutes to cycle thru so I repeated that 30 minutes 3 more times to fill the DVD.
The DVD was then used in a portable player that I've been using in years past for my drive-in scene. It was a really big hit with the family during my annual family Train Party that I host (26 people this year). A few tears were actually shed, including some from yours truly!
