I forgot I had saved this military-themed photo. I guess Memorial Day Weekend is a good time to revisit this scene. Thanks to all of you who have served!

Here is a quick video some an Amtrak train on a custom made stone arch bridge.
Fresh off the boat, on to a FedEx truck, and then on to my layout: Lionel's new SD-40-2 #s 8028 & 8033 (lashed-up) in CSX colors, RS-11 #7605 sporting PC black, and the most handsome of all, #s 1205 & 1216 D&H Sharknoses. All run and sound great with the SD-40s sounding particulalry awesome.
And most importantly, remembering all those who can't be with us this weekend to play trains. Happy memorial day everyone!

My completed restoration of my HellGate bridge.

After:
Picked up my MTH Gevo Hybrid set this weekend. She's a keeper, but I'd have to say I'll give Lionel extra points for their version.
Now, what really I need is for Lionel or MTH to make it in S!
I finally finished laying track on the mainlines tonight!
It's 4x9.5'. The funny shape is because I salvaged 3 of the tables from my previous FasTrack layout... which I had intended to keep when I moved... but just didn't fit into our new apartment
So, I started over. This time with ScaleTrax. I'm liking the looks. On to the wiring so I can finally run some trains.
Here is the Lionel Legacy NYC Sharks that I got this past Friday.
I am not into diesels, but the Baldwin Shark and ALCO PA & FA get my attention. I like their body styling!
