The residents of Seasons Bay are at the beach today to cool off from the recent heat wave. The passengers on the CZ have an excellent view of the beach.
This town is made from card-stock buildings I cut up and pasted onto 1/8" thick cardboard from an appliance box. It started out as a temporary experiment, but I have decided to keep it, so it was necessary to stiffen the backside to remedy the warping which set-in.
I happened to be in Home Depot and saw yard stick rulers for 69 cents, so I bought several to make stiffeners for this module. The yard sticks are being cut into vertical and horizontal members that will be glued along the edges of the backside and then painted black. This module is only 2" wide, and it gives the illusion of a city suburb between the station and the El.
Nice pictures everyone!!
AMC Dave the 86 footer is looking very nice. Hope you will build somemore and have them done up in Santa Fe colors. Keep up the good work.
Brian VERY NICE PICTURE of the CZ.
Have a great weekend!!!
This is a new siding that I have added to my layout. It is 2 and a half feet long by 19 inches wide. it also has a lift bridge to get to it. I have wired it to be run by the main track power or by it own transformer. I still have work to do on it. Have a great weekend and love the post so far.

Nice set of pictures to remember the last run. Thank you for sharing those memories with us. Congrats on a safe finish !!
SJC:
Congratulations on your last run. Now what are you going to do with your time that you formerly spent working on the railroad? Perhaps it will building that new layout that you have spoken about recently.
Thanks Brian....it was a quick shot and I could have done better but I am just beginning to take pictures of the other side of the layout which most folks have not seen. I have completed all of the layout edging with nice flat black masonite...really gives it a professional look.

So you're up-sizing your scale. Cool.
Enjoy your work and be safe.

Ya beat me to it! Love the family photo!!! Mine is supposed to be here tomorrow. Looks great next to the C&O and PRR.
Thanks 53wes.....I hope you are referring to my '6000 miles on Amtrak' that is linked in my post signature below. I did that trip in 2011 and to this day I get a number of comments each week. As I stated I did it for myself as it was a time of change in my life....and the fact others read it and many like it!!!!!! I am so thanful......
Very nice waterfront scene, one of the best of have seen.
I picked up a Southern Pacific AC-9 which is just out of this world... anyone know where I can find a caboose for it?
Have a few Atlas SP bay windows, let me know.
