Last weekend I rode behind the 765 on Saturday and chased it on Sunday. Here are a few of my favorite shots:

Day & Night Photos.

This week’s contribution to the Observation Car series I started several weeks ago is from the MTH Norfolk Southern Business Train. This train is headed by the tuxedo paint scheme F7’s and it makes a very striking passenger train. It looks so good that it gets regular service typically running on track 8 that serves the City portion of our layout.

I thought I was nearing the end of our Observation cars to present, but when I went to look for a photo to post today, I found a few more.

Tunnel maintenance has been completed.   Both tracks of the Amtrak mainline are back in service.

Lots of little things this week. 

1st...looking at ideas to customize my MTH animated factory into a brewery.

Next.....working on my modules....repairing the ballast and a few of my models before tonights opening of the Chesterfield County Fair.

Here is a picture of a friend's complex track work leading into his Chicago Union Station.  He has a very accurate HO layout and has extensive operating sessions.  He only runs passenger trains, Amtrak and Chicago Metra.

Made some nice progress this week -

Went to Lowes & picked up some wood & built another shelving unit for the front of the layout. ( real pita to paint all those!) At some point, I'd like to replace the older one next to it, but that's way down on my list.

Next I decided to move some things around - I had originally wanted to put a scrap yard on the layout, but couldn't find a decent priced gantry crane. Well I did & decided to add the scrap yard. The oil facility that was there has been moved to the back of the layout & the cement plant idea has been moved to the trash. I also picked up a bunch of those nice looking backgroung building fronts to give the scene some depth.

Finally, I went & bought material for a layout skirt. I has almost enough to do the inside ( pictured) & outside. I'll have to go back & pickup some more during the week.

Back to teaching so time on the layout has been less.  However this week was able to incorporate what I was teaching (layering in photo shop) to model railroading.  Made some interior scenes for my River Leaf pool hall and detective office.  (I added the adult beverage signs after class of course)

She's 15 years old, and still turns heads....especially with the new Big Boy tenders helping her along.....

Almost forgot these arrived this week as well 3 vans 1 car & 1 digger all for $6! no idea were to put them but had to buy.

 And a IXO Pierce Arrow for a lot more!

The Reading, Blue Mountain & Northern finished ex-Gulf, Mobile & Northern 425 just in time to bring her to Jim Thorpe and meet NKP 765 last weekend. Here she is by the Jersey Central station
