And Yes, it's nice to be back with all of you guys (and gals) and best train hobby in the world!

All that wood - smells like victory already!

Nice idea! However, not my intention. The musing can continue.

In the last Picture, there is grey horisontal line, Maybe an old railroad grade ?

I've got a shiny new module for National Capital Tracker use. It will get it's maiden show next weekend (Labor Day Weekend) at The College Park Aviation Museum. We run their Saturday, Sunday and Monday. I'm one of two organizers for the show. Great fun.

The following weekend we will participate in the Kensington MD train show. We share this with the local N-Trak club. We have a very large over and under layout planned. All funds go to support Kensington's Noyes Children's Library. Please come visit and say hello if you can.

This weekend I'm working on my new module, trying out exactly what I want to do with it. I'll probably do full scenery eventually but for now, I'm just going to stick with a more basic theme. The black upper level will house an MTH Bump and Go trolley. I need to cut that down to size and get that repainted and prepped this weekend as well.

Day before my b'day (8/28), I arrived home to find this years' MTHRRC premier freight car, a NS 60-footer with a load of panel track (i.e. ScaleTrax):

MTHRRC NS flat-1

Above you can see the two packets of add-ons. One is for Kadee couplers, the other is tie-downs for the track sections.

MTHRRC NS flat-2

Closeup of the tie-downs and the hooks provided to connect them.

MTHRRC NS flat-3

Closeup of the brakewheel-end details.

MTHRRC NS flat-4

Closeup of the brake system details. The pipes from the air reservoir pass through the center sill and connect to the triple valve, and in turn to the brake cylinder. I suspect this is multiple pieces but I didn't try to test the theory. It's not as if I could improve things any further

Thanks for making and posting that video, Matt.  Doug's train was certainly a sight to see... those GGD passenger cars, and the detailing on the F3s, were just phenomenal.

Thanks! Since the dynasty, my happiest time as a fan was the '93 playoff win over the Pens - a great series (I can't believe Jagr is still playing!). Of course, they lost to the eventual champ Habs that year.
