Photos and video show my recently acquired model of Boston & Maine B-15 2-6-0 Mogul #1455 (Lionel 6-38019 with TMCC) on my 10’-by-5’ layout which represents a single-track New England branchline.
On the B&M, B-15 class 2-6-0 Mogul locomotives served out-of-the-way places in Massachusetts and New Hampshire (Mogul country) between 1903 and 1956, and were used on commuter and branchline passenger trains, mixed trains, in local freight service, and for switching. They were built by Alco in Manchester, New Hampshire and Schenectady, New York between 1903 and 1910. As built, they were not superheated but some had their slide valves replaced by piston valves and were superheated around 1918. A B-15 class diagram indicates an engine weight of 142,500 pounds and a tender weight of 89,000 pounds. Superheated B-15s had a tractive effort of about 25,000 pounds.
B&M Mogul #1455 can be seen at the Danbury Railway Museum in Connecticut. Lionel’s model closely resembles the prototype.

Alex, all that for tires or did you remove more parts to grease the gears?

Hi Joe,
Pretty much all that work for tires lol, once everything is removed the gears are easy to clean up and grease.

For a bit of perspective:
This is the 3rd of the temp layouts that I built earlier this year for 2 reasons:
Alex, all that work for tires! Kinda like removing the whole front of the car to change the water pump. At least you're able to knock out the other maintenance while you're changing the tires.
This is Winnie....one of my Grand Dogs.....she is ready for the "Wear Are You" challenge!
Allan....I told her you are a "dog person", and she is looking forward to meeting you!
Have a great and safe weekend folks!

Tom (Gilly@N&W) is running with the Trackers today and I road up with him.
I’m hanging out at the Wegmans next door until the 10 AM start.....new since last time I was at this show, the FredNats Stadium is also next to the Expo Center.
Have a great and safe weekend, folks.....

Excellent lower levels.
I like the glare from the lights. Gives the photos an artsy look.
Busy morning at the club today. Secretary Lenny has been working hard on a switching layout leveling the 3 tables provided by Ed; laying track; cutting pieces to fit; repairing/servicing O22 switches, etc.; and, printing the bumpers/bulkheads:
Harvey got to run the custom decorated "Entenmann's" loco and caboose crafted by member Doug:
Dave generously used his MTH UP FEF to pull my recently assembled UP 7-car passenger train around the club's permanent layout. Cars are seen in the layout's Jurassic Park tunnel. Locomotive is shown post-trip, and getting ready to pull Dave's handsome, gray, UP Madison-style passenger cars.
Early riser Les ran his LIONEL NYC S-1:
Be safe. Enjoy the week-end.
More from the Fredericksburg show......
Some members of the River City 3 Railers who ventured to Fredericksburg.....
My high school bud and fellow train guy, Bob. We coordinated to meet at the show.....
A good show with buys to be had.......I didn't buy anything since I'm "concentrating on infrastructure" (new layout room, new layout track and benchwork, etc). It was just great to be there.....

The River City layout is always amazing, but I think you have exceeded your usual efforts with that D.C. scene - absolutely beautiful
