Weekend Photo Fun begins now! Last week the VMT celebrated Grandparents Day.
Someone brought a Proto 1 Y6B that had a much wider swing than we were ready for.
Let's see your pictures!

Times Square in New York City is all about bright lights. In keeping with the theme of the surroundings, the MTA has adorned the entrances to its vast Times Square subway station complex with a variety of blinking and colorful lighted signage which beckons travelers underground. Note the convergence of 11 trains here. It's a very busy place on the system.
The following pictures were taken last Saturday night...truly weekend photo fun! Illuminated replicas would look great in O scale.

Most if not all of my layout pics are from the north end looking south......I decided to go south and shoot north.......

A 2015 Christmas layout memory
This item is my only tin-plate "accessory" - man, when I decided to sell my trains and concentrate on tin-plate I had no idea of how expensive this stuff is! This little sign post was $30 or $35 so, sadly, I think it's going to take me quite a while to build up my inventory of tin-plate stuff.

Before - Original Kusan; missing all sorts of parts (the car was free):
During - ladders, brake wheel, handrails, etc from old Red Caboose brand tank kit:
After - close to prototype car; lettering correct. Lead weight added in tank; good-looking Kusan trucks were retained.
My first lashup in DCS.
Both are RailKing but the front GG1 is current PS3, whereas the rear is early PS2. They both have about the same mileage ( 40-50 miles ) and play well together. I look forward to them becoming better friends as they break in simultaneously. The PS3 electrics sound set is a vast improvement over the old, but in lashup the rear engine has clickity clack activated while the front alone maintains CC access to horn and bell. All the best of both sound sets! Now that I've got the knack of lashup, I plan to assemble ever lengthening consists and test their pulling power. So far, the pair have barely broken a sweat.

Yes Tiffany!
Here is my contribution for the week... This looks like my kind of woman. She seems to be more concerned with the trains going by than the man with his arm around her shoulder. This guy clearly has his priorities mixed up, but she surely doesn't!
Personally I think this looks like a great date idea, but I can't say many of our significant others would feel the same way.
Have a great weekend!
Have a nice weekend everyone!

Great pictures as usual so far (especially all the GG1s) . This week i brought my Pennsy J1 to the club with a string of coal hoppers. It was the first time I got to run my new Lionel GLA hoppers. The six Lionel joined with my six Weaver ans nine MTH make a nice long coal drag. I bought a new open case for my GoPro camera and an external microphone. The water proof case that comes with the camera tends to muffle the sound.
