Checking out Apple’s New iPhone 11 Pro

• A Photo Album from Pontiac, Michigan

I shot these photos on Tuesday Sept. 24, 2019 at the Amtrak Station. Standing at the same location to test the 3 lens in the iPhone 11 Pro.  When it comes to camera phones this is a game changer using 3 optical lens to capture the image.  Below are my test results that were handheld, no tripod.

Meet Train Room Gary: Check out this short YouTube video from my YT Channel. (6 minutes) - In this video you will learn how I get to the Amtrak Station from my garage along with going over all the features on an iPhone 11 Pro as related  to basic phone photography.  The Charger built by Siemens of California is the subject.   All aboard for a “Weekend Photo Fun Adventure” with Train Room Gary.

NP 2673.NP 2673  According to the NP records this engine was kept in Jamestown ND where I went to High School.  We always wondered why it was kept fired up and then one cold January night I found out why, The West Bound North Coast  Limited stalled about 12 miles East of town and 2673 was sent out to pull the NCL into the Depot where it could be thawed out. This is a Sunset model I had GGG convert to DCS

The Lucky Silver Mine (Shaft #1) in Marmaros, Mo., puts its new ore tipple and 18" gauge tram into action to feed the 30" gauge Frisco Silver Dollar Line.

This first view was taken by the company photographer on the far side of the curve around the engine house:

This next view was taken from a tree top near the White River Iron Truss Bridge looking back toward Roark Mountain ( a recent tornado nearly deroofed the junction tower):

Next, a view taken from the roof of the depot; the RR hotel is visible on the left:

The first outgoing ore cars have yet to be loaded, but the tram is busy filling the bins in the tipple in preparation for it.

The shaft headhouse was 'bashed from a Sandy Andy Gravel Loader.  The tipple was 'bashed from two Plasticville coal towers and the Lionel coal loader.  The tramway bridge over the On30 mainline and sidings was 'bashed from two Plasticville covered bridges and a section of HO trestle and bents by Grand Central Gems; the tail track on the tramway was made from another section of GCG trestle and more bents.  The tram cars and engine are products of a Shapeways seller, and the mechanism is a KATO N-gauge power truck.  The hotel was a custom kit I ordered from Cheapskate Models.  The water tower/sanding house was a Gloor Craft kit; the junction tower was a ubiquitous Plasticville tower rescued from a junk box.  The big tree by the depot is also GCG.  On30 track by Peco; the grass is temporary LifeLike grass paper covering the snow-white base for the Christmas scene.

Much more to do, but at least the snow isn't visible all year long anymore!

Just like many of us I like Cabins and Cabooses.  Actually am rather enamored with them but they must be of roads am interested in.  There is one type of caboose that has eluded me.  That is until now.

Straight from the Shop of Brother-Love arrived today.

Oh wow Ron! I have been look for that transfer caboose for almost two years. Congratulations on getting one. It's beautiful.

PRRbnhrobin,

Can you tell us more about this model? Kitbashed, brass, or what? Who made it.

When I worked with Joe Hayter at Waever, a transfer caboose was one of my suggestions, but we never got around to it.

Crafted by Brother_Love (Malcolm).

He started a thread on this build about two months ago.  Thread titled "Penn Central N6A construction."

These are non-existent in 3 rail and I wish someone would make one. In 2 rail they are hard to find but at least exist. It's usually the other way around.  Another item that is plentiful in N and HO scales but not O. This one is a beautiful rendition.

Thanks for the follow up on these. Do you know if more are available.

If Weaver was still around, there is a good chance you would have seen these commercially available.

When I put in for mine he was building five of which two were accounted for.  He always post on the 2-rail forum but will fit his creations for 3-rail.

Find "Brother_Love" with an advanced search for his email.  If none are left he may be considering making another batch in the future.
