It's been a rainy weekend in Chicago, so I've been cleaning track, changing light bulbs, etc. Here's a grab shot of trains moving along as they should.
With so much news of local hobby shops closing one after another, I was pleasantly surprised to see this new one pop up in Bristol, PA.
Trainpops attic is on Mill street in downtown Bristol just a few blocks from the Delaware River. They just moved to this new location that offers them over 3500 Square Feet of retail space and even more on storage.
Theres lots of window displays to see from the sidewalk and he has a good selection of postwar and 1980s with some newer items. They also carry N, HO, S and G too, and have several operating layouts for all scales.
I wish them good luck!

Groan . . .
Old cast aluminum 2-rail hopper found on DaBay a while back; cheater freelance road name Lionel flatcar repaint-and-patch job.
Did nothing to the car; it came as you see it, truck-less and all. Unpacked it, turned it over and strapped it down - obviously there has been a wreck somewhere.
How I managed to get the load off-center I do not know - but, hey - it was on-site wrecker-work, not a careful loading at a terminal!

My latest custom job. Started life as an Atlas trainman Conrail m of w car. Resprayed green for Chessie m of w and weathered. Then re-added the pipe load as it looks pretty good, adding only the scale chains. Decals are a mix of dry transfers and n-scale Chessie markings.

Yes, weathered and fully operational. My son wanted it as part of the layout. If you go to my YouTube channel ( https://www.youtube.com/channe...M1toErLTLyyv2ALICXcA ) you will see it in operation in Winterton update September 2016. That was posted in Alan's thread page 7 ( https://ogrforum.com/t...any-will-post?page=7 ). Thanks for the like.
Mr. Suzukovich:
i always look forward to your recap post in this thread as well as the images of your own layout. Thank you for taking time to acknowledge everyone's contributions in such a special way.
Best regards,
Bob

That shop is about a 15-20 minute drive from where I work, and have stopped there a few times recently on lunch times. Nice selection, prices on used equipment was great, and have had great conversations there every time I've visited!
I recommend the shop to anyone in the area! Definitely worth a visit and worth supporting!

Thank you for the thank you. I been following this thread for a long time and there is always some great pics posted. I just figured it was easier to post one reply combining my comments instead of constantly bumping. The fact that I get likes is rather humbling considering that what I have is nothing compared to others on this forum. I just hoped I haven't ruffled any feathers over time, as that was never the intention. So once again thank you for the Thank you.
