Just sitting here in NYC digesting Thanksgiving Day dinner.  A few picks from Tuesdays trip to Grand Central.

I removed the truck mounted step ladders and installed the body mounted ladders earlier today.

After all the company left (17 family members) I finished up my 2 railed K=Line Plymouth. I still have to weather it. These little locos run great in 2R and can pull 8-10 cars too. GFot to fix the dangling light wires too.

Do hope that Thanksgiving was a good one for all of you.

I don't know how you get them so perfect? I'll keep practicing though. I'm starting to amaze myself.....well good enough I should say.

Now If I could just learn to finish them before running them!

Alan your video is great, you do get a lot in the space you have. Was looking for more pics of the new bridge in place.

Must say some great and interesting shots here but Alan's layout video is really something else..large, well put together, full of activity, realistic and undoubtedly a large investment. The city scenes as Alan has assembled and arranged them really make a dramatic appearance.

What a great thread; thanks to all who posted and will post pictures/video--it's great to see the enthusiasm of Ogaugers evidenced by the time, effort, imagination, skill and coin reflected in the pictures and videos.

Howard, just love this photo. Just what any Sante Fe fan wants to see, a beautiful Warbonnet. The Observation car is pretty special as well, my favorite of all passenger cars.

Alan, WOW just doesn't cut it when it comes to your contribution for this weeks Photo Fun. This is the ultimate in fun. What a gorgeous layout.

Art, a picture is worth a thousand words. Anybody who doesn't think that the K-Line CZ Observation car isn't the best rendition of this famous train has been missing from our hobby.

I would rather be checking out some abandoned coal mine structures than at a shopping mall on black friday.

It's Thanksgiving, 1950, in the rural town of Beawslaiw...along the Southern Pacific main line...somewhere between San Francisco and Los Angeles.  Elmer Koereckt,  a spotter for the Brisbane & Bushong RR, decided to "strike a blow for liberty" at McCuaig's Maui Lounge, after a big turkey meal.  He had a few too many whiskey sours!

Here's my first humble attempt at a video this season.  Nowhere as nice as Alan's  but I do hope all of you enjoy it.

Although I do a lot more reading then posting I want to say a big thank you to everyone that makes this the best forum anywhere.  Period.  All of you are a great group of people and I wish that everyone and their families have a wonderful and safe holiday season.

Many passengers waiting for the MBTA commuter rail to arrive at Salisbury Beach station for a day of Black Friday shopping in Boston. 

This is for anyone that likes to run old trains way to fast I say, if it stays on the track, it ain't too fast!!

Reminds me of a view on a bend along RT.11 on the way to Upstate New York.

McKeen Car:

Found this at a TCA meet in Ponchatoula LA a few weeks ago. It's scratch buit by the seller,

and he had a couple more of them. $30.00 It's powered by a Lionel handcar unit; rear

truck is RK or something. It runs, forward only. For thirty bucks, I couldn't help it.

There must be $10.00 worth of decals on it. Balsa, basswood and stuff. The cowcatcher is

actually fence material. The scale is really a bit bigger than O.

So, MTH cancelled their McKeen car, but I got this! The SP's

were actually painted plain green, I believe.

...also, a scene familiar to many steel mill workers on their way home, back in the 40's, 50's & 60's after their shifts in National Tube Works, McKeesport, PA and/or Duquesne U.S.Steel mill: lots of bars right by the workers' gates; lots of booze.

Nicely done vignette, sir.
