Okay, but logo won't be the same since recently losing trademark infringement lawsuit to Walgreens, Wegman's is no longer permitted to use the same style W in their name as appeared on last year's train set. Wonder if to any folks, that will make last year's set somewhat collectible? Is this year's set manufactured by Lionel, again? Another steam engine this Christmas or perhaps a diesel locomotive this time around? Will check Wegman's site to see if mention of this hear's offering is posted yet.

Whoa! They're selling last year's set for $199.0 The middle of August they were selling for $129.99. Wegman's obviously has decioded to take advantage pricewise of the upcoming holiday. Glad I bought three sets then and have them new, sealed in box. Wonder what they might go for on the bay as Christmas buying frenzy sets in? Maybe twice at $260 for a 200% profit. Gotta love how train prices fluctuate around the holidays.

I also have the 2011 train set but IMO the "W" in the Wegmans logo on the engine and on the set box looks just like the "W" in the Wegmans on their web site (here’s the link - http://www.wegmans.com/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/HomepageView?storeId=10052&catalogId=10002&langId=-1&clear=true), and also the “W” in the Wegmans on the new model ceramic store building in the photo posted by someone else in this thread.  When does that logo restriction go into effect?

Re collectability, I hope you’re right but let’s be realistic as they didn’t sell them out last Holiday season considering they were a limited run and both their regular customers and toy train collectors had a shot at them.  Then both those markets had another shot at them a few months ago at that greatly reduced price and they still didn’t sell out.  And now they’re trying to sell them in the 2012 Holiday season along with their newly announced 2012 sets.  How can they expect their regular customers to buy those leftover sets as 2012 Christmas presents when the “2011” on the engine is pretty hard to hide as it shows very visibly both on the box and on the engine cab through the display window in the set box package?
