So at the last second I decided to hop in the car and drive to York and see what all the fuss is about.   Totally forgot about needing to be sponsored by a member.

I'm guessing most members aren't checking the forum on their phones, but if anybody would like to sponsor me in, I'll be hanging out in the atrium of the silver hall outside registration for a little while.   I'm wearing a green shirt with a Reading Lines diamond above the pocket.

If you have not attended before there will be someone at the registration table from TCA who will take your info and sign you in.  The rule remains you can only do this once.  I did that last Spring, smooth transaction.  FYI, there is good reason for all the fuss, York is unlike anything you have every seen.  If you are just leaving now and will not arrive for several hours you have already lost valuable time.  It is difficult if not impossible to see everything in a single day.

"Sponsor" is a poor choice of words on my part.  I'm posting on the fly and "escorted" didn't seem to fit.   If you are not a member you have to have someone willing to let you in as a guest which you may only do once.  You no longer need to have two members sponsor you for membership.

Regardless, I'm happy you were able to get in and that Marty saw your post.  I hope you enjoy the meet.
