I would certainly consider any new steam or diesel or electric locomotive model that Lionel has not made before such as a Lionmaster size New York Central 4-8-4. I had suggested to the Lionel folks that since they did the model of the Hogwarts Express locomotive how about another model of a British and or an European locomotive. I own the Shakespeare Express set from a few years ago and the more recent Albert Hall set and I enjoy the sound of the European steam whistle and the person talking from the Albert Hall set's locomotive even though it is hard to understand some of what he is saying due to his cockney accent. Either of the engines pulls nine of the passenger cars from these sets.
Let me look into my crystal ball, or maybe I will just wait another 25 minutes to see what is in the catalog.
Just a Gantry Crane. Nothing else really excited me. Same old roadnames
Military and history for me...
US Air Force launcher and sound car
President Grant boxcar
PFE Cars if they are different from the earlier ones. Other than that not much. The NYC Hudson is nice but just don't need another road name. Nice rest for the wallet. Nice catalog though.
The Christmas Memories is where my wallet is getting hit. This is the HOME RUN! Love the PE Pocket Watch!
Wow, it's 9:11.
I'll let you know AFTER I read it.
Nice catalog. PFE reefers if they're different.
Glad to see the 21" passenger cars in the line. Should make a lot of people happy. Even with ABS bodies..
Glad they weren't UP.
Very nice catalog, they did a nice job.
For me it was a homerun. I am a modern Diesel guy. Love the ES44's. Awesome that they have the new FEC colors. I've been waiting for a black NS ES44, and who doesn't love a Warbonnet and a KCS Southern Belle.
I like the LionChiefPlus rectifiers and I think the FTs should have been F-3s

What am I ordering?
Nothing. Nice looking catalog but I found it a bit underwhelming, especially in LC+. No sets and the same road names on the same engines yet again. The LC+ F units were nice, especially the Santa Fe.
Nice to see LionMaster back but I need a $1,000 engine like I need a hole in my head.
Nothing.
The Legacy Empire State Express is probably the highlight in my opinion, along with the StationSounds diners - two things that were on my wishlist, so thanks so much Lionel! Though the new SD40's are a great addition to the roster.
Empire States Express J3a Hudson with PT tender. Could be my first Legacy engine.
Nothing really for me. Maybe the bascule bridge but thats about it.
Glad to see the Lionmaster articulateds back. I still wish they would continue the PWC and CC series for those of us who like the classics..And where is my Tubular O GAUGE TRACK?? Fasttrack is crap!
Nothing at all and those catalog prices!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Nothing. $649 for a diesel just made Scott Mann look like a bargain.

Legacy PRR b6 steam switcher.
I have the kline version and the detail is great. Anxious to see it with Legacy speed control.
Great, finally a rerun of the Alco PA's so I can upgrade my really old, original run of my Santa Fe's. But wait, no Santa Fe's. Rats. Well, at least I cannot pass on the command control gantry crane.
And thanks Lionel, we finally have 21" passenger cars.
If I can swing it the Empire State express set, I would have to sell my older set.

nice catalog has some nice items. I like the flat cars but really the price so much for so Little!
and yes I do realize these are msrp prices.
And where is the O GAUGE TUBULAR Track?? Forget that Fasttrack Crap!!!!

it joined the dodo bird!

According to my local dealer, Lionel recently sent out a notice that they will no longer make tubular track. Done. No "occasional production runs". Get it now. They won't make it any more.

Looks like they are leaving us behind!!

I'm thinking the Pennsy N5 caboose and some GLa hoppers.

Probably nothing....it gives me a chance to catch up ......I was excited when I saw the roundhouse picture with all the F3s. The Mcginnis New Haven set was calling my name....but alas, it was just a pretty picture.

My thought too. For example ES44 preorder last time was $399. Hopefully that will continue for this catalog.
I will be ordering the Southern Alco PAs with B unit and the 21" passenger cars w/ station sound diner to go with it. Might have to put my N&W 611 on the southern passenger cars and call it the Tennessean. Cant wait.
I hope Lionel produces N&W 21" passenger cars soon.
I also love that Pocket Watch. Very Good possibility.
PFE Reefers (perhaps, if I buy the VL ones)
Philadelphia Energy Solutions Tank cars
Conrail PS-5 Gondola w/ Flat car
NS Bathtub Gondolas
Extended Truss Bridge (now this REALLY caught my eye, but for THAT price??? Not sure.)

Charlie @ Nassau is at $519 for the ES44s this time around .... so yeah. If you paid $399, what? 2-3 months ago?
Given the MSRP, thats not a *bad* price, as Charlies prices are usually very good, but do you think its worth another $120 this year? I'd be hard pressed to think of how the same tooling can produce that much more value to the end user in a year's time. Especially, since this is the 3rd round of road names with that tooling.

I just saw Charlie's price. No way worth another $120. I wonder why the big jump in price? Very disappointing.....
Well the post was "Not at those catalog prices".
Personally no it's not worth the price increase IMO, but still I wouldn't pay MSRP either if I wanted one.
Yet another underwhelming catalog (mostly) for me.
Like others have mentioned, was interested in what they would offer in the Lion Chief Plus line. While I'm glad the diesel offerings have expanded, really wish they would have done F3s rather than the FTs. If I order anything it will likely be the Virginian Rectifier. I've already got an NW-2 on preorder with Charlie from the 2014 catalog.
