This was a one-quarter inch railroad that closed years ago. Was it ripped up? Where did the trains end up?

The hobby shop is long since closed, but the tracks are still up... have not seen any activity, but it is wintertime.
I am not sure if they will continue the train rides or not.

What does "one-quarter inch"mean? Isn't that what O-Scale is?
I wouldn't say it closed years ago, they discontinued rides just two years ago and the hobby shop closed last year according to articles found on google.
