What brand super glue do you use, and where to buy?

I started using Loctite Super Glue Gel a couple years ago. Not as messy since it's a gel. Hasn't failed me yet!

And I haven't glued my fingers together!

Loctite gel… Lowe’s, HD, etc.

Does a great job, costs too much. We used 70+ bottles of it last year.

We spray it with an accelerator if we need extremely fast set. Visible glue turns white when we use the accelerator. Easy to touch up.

There is one Locktite gel glue that has a squeeze from the side applicator, less mess and easier location, I purchase at Manatds.

Bob Smith Industries, or, stuff left over from work that is expired (a defense contractor, out of date is a big time no-no). BSI can be found on Amazon, and they have a website.

I have used the Plastruct brand with the accelerator. They halve two or three different consistency. I use the thick one code cyc3

Zap-a-Gap medium viscosity with an ultra fine tip applicator.

Robart's Zap CAs have multiple thicknesses.  Thin is watery, flows fast, and dries quick (still have some on my fingers).  Thick is quite slow to cure, longer than you'd be willing to hold it in place manually., but it bridges small gaps.  I keep the three that come in bottles around.  Hobbytown USA carries them.

I've given up on most of them as too runny, too quick setting, etc. Loctite 380 has since become my favorite for almost all super glue applications. 90 second work time, 60 minutes cure time, overnight cure time for a bond that requires a saw to undo. I buy the very small tubes and keep an extra in the fridge in a pill bottle. I get it from Granger's (about $7 for a small tube) or order it from Zorro (more expensive). It is distributed in the industrial channel and not in the big box, hardware, or automotive channels - hint, don't waste your time looking there.

Thanks for suggestions...most of my applications are for gluing plastic building parts/details/figures, and occassional diecast parts.

Like you I have tried a lot of different brands. while I really like Loctite gel I have standardized on DAP Rapid Fuse.

I use Harbor Freight for regular & gel. Quite inexpensive, and always fresh. Works the same as all the others as far as I can tell.

I've had good luck with the Lockite Gel, works great and stays in place instead of those liquid ones that one drop starts running downhill on you.

Gorilla brand super glue, both regular, and gel.

I've had good luck with the Dap rapid fuse and all of the Gorilla products. I buy them my local hardware store as I try to support our local small businesses.

Loctite and Krazy Glue here. Works very well and helped me construct the new icing platform

Glue Masters thin viscosity from Amazon.  Dries fast and it is very strong.  Yes, I have glued my fingers together, and next time I'll try their medium viscosity for better control.

Ditto, Gorilla Glue from big box stores.

Gorilla Precise.  You just squeeze the sides and you get an adequate amount for adhesion.  Available at Lowes.

I first learned of it at a GATS..

The seller glued a dollar coin to the floor

it was fun watching people try to pick it up

also, people were bringing him train items to glue-and every item I saw him repair looked good

what sold me was when he cut a serpentine belt and then glued it back together-and I couldn’t easily find the cut much less pull it apart

my last bottle, lasted over 2 years.

I used Loctite 416 for most of my CA gluing needs, and Loctite 380 BlackMax for places on black seam engines that I don't feel like having it show.
