What color for Korber Roundhouse doors

What colors did the railroad you are modeling use?

For some reason Grey was a choice for most of the trim work.

 

I've always been partial to green.

 

I did mine in a rusty red.  I also put some doll house hinges on them so I could open or close them, it was a little bit of challenge but I like the way they turned out.

Thanks for the pictures.  I had not considered loght grey, red or green until seeing these photos.  I am going to paint one door each of the colors and see what looks best.  All good colors.  

 

Thank you for the photos.  I tried sme black and some brown today but I didn't care for that look.

Ed, just for info, Rich had the real wooden door replacements at york.  if you just wanted a weathered wood look.Course i guess that could be done with the plastic as well .

I wish I would have known.  I couldn't get upto York this year but my friend who I'll see in a few weeks did.  He could have gotten them for me.  Oh well.

Heh guys, had the same dilemma went w/green, glad I did also changed some of the broken hinges to metal and they operate using foam "t" pins cut and altered worked great!! If any need to know process just ask

From a Korber standpoint, any color you like is the right answer. :-) Personally I like green, specifically the rustolium camo green spray cans. I have to add the doors to the web store this week, but if you send me an email at the address in my profile we can aggange to get you new doors if you like.

Ken, Thanks for the reply and glad all is good. Good here as well. Yes we got some of the wind but not as much as you did. Busy here trying to get ready for winter and work on a Railroad.
