After a 7 year absence from York, I plan on attending again this comming October.  I am sending out my application form for TCA tommorrow.

Is it better to attend on Thursday and Friday?  I seem to recall that on Saturday, most vendors start tearing down early in the day.

If I could pick only one day, it would probably be Friday (the day with the most meet hours available).  Either Thursday or Friday are fine.  Saturday is pretty much a wrapping-it-up afterthought for both buyers and sellers, but has the advantage of significantly diminished crowds.

However, it kind of depends on what you might be looking for.  If there is some especially hard-to find item on your list--something being actively sought by others in the hobby as well--you're probably better off getting to the meet at its earliest stages, and that would be at noon on Thursday.

Because my wife works Friday evenings at the psych hospital we only have Thursdays to attend. Its a short day as some of the halls close at 5 PM but I've been very successful finding the items that I've been looking for. Thursday seems like a day to score the odd stuff as first in first out seems to apply. Fridays is a much longer day and will allow more time for buying.
