We bought our first scale steamer, Lionel's Legacy 2-6-6-2 Mallet #1309 in Mr. Muffin's custom run C&O. It was brand new and the price was right!

Also got a C&O caboose to go with it, a NS tee shirt, and a t-shirt from the Social Media event to benefit the Choo Choo barn foundation, which is creating programs to help get school aged kids into the hobby. And some small craft supplies.

I remember when I went over to the dark side with my first scale steamer. Welcome to the dark side..lol

My big puchase was the Lionel PRR J class 2-10-4 from Nicholas Smith.

@Greg Houser, lol! I'm more into diesels. The steamer was something Mr. Chessiechick wanted. He says this will probably be his only scale steamer, and he has more self-control than I do, so that may actually pan out. I do want a Strasburg or Reading, Blue Mountain and Northern steamer eventually so I can run an excursion train. But the Strasburg stuff is all so overpriced. I refuse to pay the premium for it.

Almost forgot, I also picked up a Natty Boh beer boxcar from one of the guys on the forum. Looking forward to running it with my Chesapeake Bay blue crab transport reefer. Beer and crabs, hon, from the land of pleasant living!
