Started work on the drug store from River Leaf Models. Taking my time and adding some additional detail with the brick work. I added a few different colors of brick. I like the results so far.

Pennsynut, thanks it sure is a chore sitting under the layout wiring them in, but I sure like how they look.
John, sure sounds like you have all winter planned! At the rate your going your going to need more passenger cars! LOL
Andy, Wonderful work on the building! I wish I could afford something like that, but then again I also like scratch building what I can!
SuperChief, wow that sure is alot of dirt work! Sure looks good. Makes me feel like I need to get off my rear and get my yard done! Thanks for the motivation!
Awesome work and scene SuperChief! Can't wait to see all that track loaded with locos and rr cars.
Thanks Mike! I like the lighting in your buildings. Nice work 👍🏻

Waiting and waiting and waiting for windows and doors to come in....while doing that, l do tiny bit of work on watermill kit daily, must be psychological, as l know l don't need a water mill for western mountains....but a lot else to do like mow lawn today.
Ran my new T-Motor. I am proud to say my NASCAR track of a basement layout is now home to most tiers of New York Central passenger service circa late 40's!
Ran the heck out of my Erie FT ABA set. Sure enjoying the LC+ line!

Johan: What a great scene! The backdrop reminds me off a special place in Canada where I have fished every summer for 34 years. There are tracks not too far from the camp that we cross. Really like your engine, boxcar and scenery.
Thats a lot of wonderful projects everyone! I have been working outside since the weather turned cooler, but I did find time for the layout this past weekend. I put in all the switches and track along with the power drops for my little lower level yard. I tested the drops with alligator clips and everything seems okay.

Pennsynut. Thank you. Nice to hear that, that landscape will provide you with fond memories.

I ordered my replacement lights from Evan Designs today. They are great folks, gave me the two replacement lights for the dock at no charge.
Lot's of great work being posted. When you get near the bottom of a page on this thread it's too many people to mention each by name, but trust me when I say great job everyone!

Made the clearance tweaks (a lunch break activity), had to swap out a few O-48 curves for O-60s. Now the ES44AC will clear the bridges without the plow snagging the structures.

Looking good Mark. Can’t wait to see the lights Bob.

Ordered 2 #8 curves switches from Ross today. Ordered cork roadbed from trainworld. Still waiting for my shipping invoice from Cabin Fever.
Got some feeders soldered to the bottom of the track I already have
NSRailfan, just a heads up. I bought a few items from Cabin Fever and thought the shipping charge was odd. I reached out to them for an explanation and there was an error in their system. I received a credit right away. They have a new system and are working out the bugs. If you end up having questions reach out to them, they have been very responsive and good to work with. Jeff
Train orders for today: After dropping the empty mail train on a passenger car team track, the K4s continued on to the engine facility where I cleaned the rollers on the engine and tender. The RPO was cut out to be joined to the local commuter train. An M1a pulling a WB mixed freight stopped for a block signal on the ridge.
Finally got my passenger cars (Lionel 6-19060) to go with my Lionel Commodore Vanderbilt.
I also got my Lionel 2031180 Santa Fe #3757 4-8-4 Legacy today.
Today, after the M1a dropped its mixed freight in the arrival yard lead, it continued to the engine yard for routine maintenance, coal and water. B6s No. 522 pulled the cars to the yard to be switched to businesses or added to other trains.
I have been running MTH Premier Passenger cars (2) and matching MTH baggage mail car as a local commuter. They measure 17 inches. I got a GGD baggage mail car recently for my mail express train. I decided to reassign it to the local but it it's totally out of place dimensionally with the MTH cars. So I substituted three K-line passenger cars (18") that make the train look somewhat better. One coach, a combine and an observation car. If train shows open up next year I will try to sell the MTH cars and get two more K-line coaches. Looking to get 4 wheel trucks for them as well.

Been working on some acess hatches . Now need to add scenery. These hatches allow me to access the upper switches and two main lines in the mountains. Should have done this in the beginning but I got in to big of a hurry.

Mike g, nice work with the buildings. When you get a chance to work on the layout you get a lot done.
Mark, you are getting alot accomplished. Looking good.
Johan, always a nice scene to showcase your work. Very nice job on the boxcar. Thanks to you always posting your pics I was finally able to get a State of Main car with Potatoes on the side.
Bob, nice motive power additions to the layout. And the corner has turned out really good.
Yesterday got this in the mail. I lost out on the first one on the B but a few days later another showed up and I got it. Pic........... I have got to get back to working on the layput instead of surfing the net for things to buy. Paul 2

Morning, looks great! Just wondering if you scratch built it or did you buy it?
SO I have been gone for a couple of day and there sure has been some wonderful work being done! To the point that I cant call everyone out. I just love it when I get a chance to see what everyone is doing! The weather here is nothing but rain so the CEO gave me permission to work in the train room today. I have 13 street lights I plan on switching over to LED and paint the screws for them black. I will then wait for the CEO to help with placement!
I hope everyone has a great Saturday and finds time to have fun with there layouts and trains!
@mike g. posted:Morning, looks great! Just wondering if you scratch built it or did you buy it?
Thanks Mike. I scratch built it with insulation foam several years ago. Some of the artists on the forum have made some impressive walls and inspired me to try making this and a long bridge as well. I painted it flat black and left it for another day to color because chosing colors is often challenging for me. I mixed acrylic craft paints for variations for the stone blocks. I think the color variations make it interesting but not realistic. I may make another one and copy an actual PRR tunnel portal and try to select a more realistic color for limestone and concrete just for fun.
I will post pics of the bridge I painted last night later. Cheers.
This morning I decided to weather the bridge/wall that I painted last night. If it was not for covid I can't say whether I would have ever worked on those nagging small leftover "to dos". Here is before and after. It's not supposed to be a bridge rather a wall to support the natural geology there, so eventually, I plan to have a brick/stone panel behind the stone wall.

Thanks Scott. The more I look at it, the color of the stone looks out of character for the terrane and what a rr would use for such a structure. I may change the color if I don't warm up to it after a month or so after searching for photos of similar things in the real world.
The ole Memorial Stadium. Known for the Colts as the Outside Insane Asylum. Great memories.
Pennsynut, the bridge looks great! I hope you might have some photos of how you did themc cause I have some portholes to build.
Scott, wonderful backdrop photo! Really brings things to life!
Well I guess I will be making another trip to the store tomorrow as I miss counted how many lights I had to switch over to LED's. instead of 13 I had 23 and got them all done today, but dont have enough screws to mount them. It took me most of the day, but then again I am a little slow at somethings! LOL here are a couple photos!
Tomorrow I hope to get more screws and get some of these mounted!
I hope everyone is having a great day!
