Hi Joe. Two part epoxy is very easy to use. You just mix both parts together in equal amounts and then apply. I also recommend JB Weld as well. You can find it at any big box hardware store. It will give you time to locate your figures wherever you want them and do any clean up before it sets. It bonds metal to metal very well.

JB can be sanded, drilled, tapped, file worked, and poured into small molds, build layers etc.. Like a very strong plastic or Bondo. Play around with a little before you use it. Your sample will set solid in 5min or so.

Note: there is a slow set JB weld too(5hours-24hs) buy what you need.

Hiawatha has a point on removal. JB weld often means forever, . Silicone can be removed, but it can also permanently foul many surfaces for future painting.

it dries about the color of a lightly faded plastic postwar tender. This whole corner(most forward) is unpainted JB weld. Bad photo but you cant see it until you really look good.

I just got back from walmart-hate the place-they have everything though-got the jb weld kwikweld 2 tubes bkack/yellow.package says works on metal-dries grey

the lionel parts I ordered came today also-ordered them wed. afternoon-wish mth had a fraction of customer service help lionel does.

still cannot accept mth reply about why mike does not upload mth parts on the computer so we can fix our engines-reply-mike wants you to buy new stuff.

I told them last time I looked I did not see a monry tree in the back yard.

the lionel nmyc 400e cab figures are nice-come with seats attached.nicely painted

and both are different poses.

what was nice of lionel was I mentioned I had a nc e7 aa unit that I love-super detailed.i accidently broke a very delicate windshield wiper.while ordering parts

I mentioned the windshield wipers I needed to the customer service rep.she told me to hold on and 4 minutes later told me the repair department just took 2 off a e7 unit for me and sent them to me free.is that service.joe

forum members thanks and wish me luck with using jb weld .thinking sunday is a good day to do it-maimi heat better start winning some games.
