Anyone know the whereabouts and/or restoration efforts of the 0-6-0 tank engine that was sitting in the D&H Carbondale, PA roundhouse? I remember reading something about it being restored in PA on the forum a while ago. I videoed it inside the roundhouse in the mid-90s pretty much intact.

That is the Lehigh Valley Coal Company #126. Now owned by the Gramling Family in Indiana. The Gramlings own several tankers including the famous Flagg Coal 75, #126 and two others. They are in the home stretch on finishing the restoration on their third loco. They've restored it and truck it around the east coast. When I was a volunteer at Walkersville Southern, I had the pleasure to fire this little engine on several roundtrips - what an experience that was! The Gramling family - John, Pat and Barney -  are great people. Kind, fun, and patient with those that have never fired or operated a steam locomotive. A great learning experience that I'd love to do again. They are a real pleasure to work with.  I've got a nice replica Flagg Coal 75 number plate, all signed by the Gramlings. I've also got a "Lehigh Valley Coal Co. 126 Engine Crew" hat -- NOT something many people get. John Gramling said I did a "**** good job" firing. Really great people.

It will be in Walkersville in the next month. It is currently in Spencer NC and will also go to the Wilmington and Western and other destinations this summer such as smaller operations in Pennsylvania, Georgia and others. See the Gramling's website and schedule HERE. Their Facebook page is HERE

They've also got a TV show. Here is a link

Neat little engine !!  Is it a Porter ??  Is it in the state of Indiana ??

It is a Vulcan. Indiana is home for the Gramling family and their tank engines. The 126 or "Sadie" as they call her is currently at the NC Transportation Museum in Spencer, NC. She will be at the Walkersville Southern in Maryland late May - Early June. She will then go to the Wilmington & Western in Delaware. I believe she is also going to a tourist line in the Allentown PA area this summer for the first time.

She frequently also goes to South Carolina and Georgia in the fall and winter. I see the Gramling's website is temporarily down but usually they have a detailed schedule.
