A few months back I picked up a Lionel Visionline Challenger from one of the auction sites. I knew exactly what I was getting into, but wow what a messed up engine. The previous owner threw paint on it, messed with the electronics, and its mechanical components were in poor shape. With some TLC it has come back to life and is now something I call Visionline worthy. Check out the pictures and video to see where it was and is now.

This is like the model train equivalent of an originally $100k+ Mercedes with gaudy aftermarket rims, hideous tail light swaps, fake chrome stick-on pieces from Walmart, filthy interior and exterior that hasn't been cleaned in years, and scratches, dents, cuts, scrapes, and missing trim pieces galore.  This is why we can't have nice things...good on you for saving it!
