Yes most of my favorite post war train sets were in the 1957 catalog. Those sets are:

2276W Budd RDC Commuter Set

2285W Virginian Five Car Freight Set

2292WS Super O Steam Luxury Liner

2293W GG1 Five Car Freight Set

2296W Super O Diesel Luxury Liner

2297WS N&W Five Car Freight Set

The ones Lionel did not make in the PWC sets I collected separate sale items to make those sets including the Super O track. Long live Lionel Post War Trains and the magic they introduced to my life

The New Haven O27 Alco passenger set:

The New Haven F3 Freight set.....which is the one Santa brought....

....and 2 more contender sets.....the 646 steam fright and the Pennsy EP-5 work train....

These pages remain magical for me.........even now nearly 60 years later!

Probably 1958 - my birth year. Even though I did not see that catalog until many years later, it was amazing to see what was available that year.
