My grandfather worked for this railroad from 1936 to 1960 can you identify this locomotive by make and model possible year of built. I want to custom paint a locomotive of this RR in memory of my grandfather.

Rick - Looks like it would be an Alco product with those rounded roofs but don't know the model number - perhaps an 'SW'? As for the railroad - might MCRR stand for Michigan Central? (but really just a guess on my part)
Merry Christmas!
Rick-
It looks like an SW1001; they were made by EMD between 1968 and 1986. From what I found online the Monongahela Connecting Railroad bought six back in the 1970s.
Happy Holidays!

MCRR stands for Monongahela Connecting Rail Road or MON CON.
DL&W Pete any ideas where I could find a photo of an MCRR Switcher from when my grandfather worked there. I understand the MC jumped on the diesels very early.

If only there were something on line where you enter some words of a subject you’re looking for. Google is your friend.

Lots of hits and misses depending on the year you’re looking for.
Sam Thank you very much in all my searching I did not get those two sites, shame on me being from Pittsburgh. Did find any photos I could use but did stumble across across a couple of books that may help.
From Wiki: "The railroad was also a dieselization pioneer, buying many early diesel locomotives from Alco, General Electric and other manufacturers."
Here are some possibles:
ALCO: MTH or Lionel S-2, Lionel S-4, Lionel or MTH RS-3, Atlas RS-1
GE: MTH or WbB 44 tonner

EMD SW 1500 Correction. SW 1500 has two smoke stacks.
My picture from the Montour Trail, lower end.
Trinity,
Wouldn't #90 handle it?
