In the process of bridging all my valleys I am fabricating a good sized deck girder bridge with the traditional pattern of what appears to be multiple riveted plates.

The plates will 10 scale feet ( 2 1/2") tall.  The next step is to attach the  vertical stiffener / joint angles.

My question:  engineering wise, what is the aspect ratio of the panels.  They are all usually of a vertical rectangle  configuration.  I am guessing somewhere near 1:2 width  to height ratio.

Anyone have hard numbers for this or an idea where to source this information?

Thank you.

In general, the panel widths on riveted girders often vary, with wider panels mid span, getting shorter and more rectangular at either end. Each end has an extra vertical stiffener over top the feet.  Welded girder types usually have even panel spacing and deeper girder webs, like the 10' one you plan on using.
