I have seen a lot of auto racks come across the border into AZ in Nogales, but I would assume that there is a more direct route via Dallas for east coast shipping. 

My wife's company car is a new Equinox and I have to say it is a very nice driving vehicle. 

I dont think you will be able to find one railroad to ship it the whole way. Many of my friends who have moved from upstate NY to the south had to drive part of the trip and then load the car. I think they had to drive close to D.C. before they could get a railroad to ship it the rest of the way. Good luck

I knew a guy who once worked for General Motors. His job was to handle all of the damaged cars shipped by rail. He told me there is always a fair number of bullet holes and broken glass. That's the other side of shipping by rail. Lots of folks look at it as a moving target.
