Wondering what is the best size for chain tie downs for flat cars and where to get it. I looked on line and wonder if the 15 links per inch is good or should it be more or less.

15 links per inch translates into a little over 3 scale inches per link. Which probably isn't too bad for flatcar loads. If you can find somewhere around 24 links per inch, or 2 scale inches per link, that might look good on flatbed trucks and trailers.
