I am in the process of weathering a stone arch bridge. The brick, on the bridge, is Plastruct siding. I found this picture on the web and this is the look I am going for. My question is what do you think was used for the coloring and how do you think it was applied?

My guess would be dry brushing or chalk.
I'm experimenting with chalk.
From one of my previous layouts. Plastic block siding sheet painted first with gray latex flat paint. After it dried, brushed on very dilute black enamel for the mortar lines, mildly wiping off the black from the block faces. Final coat of gray/brown paint thinly applied with a rag.
It looks like washes to me. Either India ink and alcohol or diluted acrylic paint. There’s more than one way to get that effect, use whatever you’re comfortable with, or mix techniques.
