What to use for slipping crane belt

If you are talking about the Gantry cranes with the belts inside you can use a number 19 o ring found at your local hardware store. Tru value, and ask for a #22 or #23 O ring they are suppose to work.  The size is approx. 1 and 1/16 inch x 1/16inch, or 1 and 1/8inch x 1/16 inch.

I've used traction tires for steam engines with good results.

I have no modern locos, so no tires in stock. But a good thought.  I'll come up with something.  When I place a parts order might just order the right one.
