I have an MTH Premiere passenger car whose clear acetate window on end door came off. What's the best glue to use to reattach it to it's plastic window frame? I've heard some glues might haze, fog or discolor clear windows over time so what's best way to bond clear acetate to a plastic car body without damaging that acetate and will still hold tight? Any idea what MTH uses? Also don't want glue smearing onto visible window surface when it's pressed into place so suggestions and tips are appreciated. Thanks.

I have been using Pacer Canopy glue with good results so far. What I like about it is that it has no odor and will clean up easily with water if you make a mistake. Once it is dry it seems to be very strong, dries clear and will work on a lot of different materials including clear hard and soft plastics.  I have used it quite a bit for gluing in the loose windows on some old MTH subway sets as well as putting in passengers. See the link below.

Southwest Hiawatha, I don't have a Micro-Mark catalog. Do you know the name or order number for the adhesive you're referring to?
Also, my LHS doesn't stock Pacer Canopy glue, just Testors 3515-C Clear Parts Cement Window Maker. The Testors product doesn't specifically mention acetate but does say it bonds polystrene. Have any of you had experience with Testors and know whether it also works well to bond clear acetate windows?
Thanks.

From the review, Big Jim, this seems like a great product but be advised it's creator and seller of this glue has ceased operations for an estimated two month period due to personal and family obligations.

I hadn't realized that as this came about after I had received my order. Hope everything works out for him.

I have used Testors Clear Parts glue too. We used it on my son's "Visible 426 Hemi" and it has held together well. I will say that with a model this complex, we used rubber bands to hold parts together and gave assemblies a long time to cure before proceeding to the next step.
