Thank you Rrvics and John ok what switch do i use i am assuming the number 4 switch or 031 switch in ross tinplate can u buy the adapter pins thur ross as well
Ross. Finest switch that money can buy and they are now wired for through conductivity. I don't believe that they offer an 027 curve though but 031 should be workable. Check them out on the link at the top.

Dennis, I (and almost everyone else) agree completely.
Also, going to O31 instead of 027 is a wise move, as just that small difference in the sharpness of the curve can avoid many future operational problems where O27 is just too sharp; e.g., backing up a string of cars (perhaps of varying weights) through an O27 switch could cause a derailment where O31 would not.

Thank you guys very much for your input thats what im going to get ross O31 switch
Chessie:
If you get a choice of switch machines it may be prudent to ask for the DZ1000 and not the DZ2500. I have customers who have purchased Ross turnouts and are dissatisfied with the 2500 machine. However you must make sure the DZ1000 is compatible with what you want to do (just using toggle switches that come with the turnouts or running through a cab remote using something like the ??SC300??. It would be best to dicuss with Ross.

Thanks i will keep that in mind Model Structures but im plannimng on using the manual switch i never did like the remote switches i always had trouble with them maybe in the near future i may use them does anybody have the measurements on O31 Ross switch so i can do some checking on my layout to see if it will work
Here ya go. Printable templates of their turnouts!
hey guys i was reading on the ross website said the post war engines will hit the frog i have four post war engines it said flange to long on the post war engines said have to grind the frog down deeper is this true or will it still work thanks
I have found that PREwar trucks go "bump" over the Ross frogs. But it has not bothered me enough to try to do anything about it.
