What's on the 4-4-0 lamp???

Regarding MTH 20-3391-1 the 4-4-0 American "Leviathan", what is that on the side of the lamp? I can't tell. Is it a design or some image? I see another model has the picture of General Grant (really? They did that for real?) Also, what is the text on the cab? I can't make it out from the pictures. Thanks.
