Has Lionel canceled the Lionel Railroader Club? They have not offered a new car since December
nor have they updated their webpage in over seven months. Not much value for $20.

I don't think so as I just signed up. i know some members are still getting the "Inside Track" so that's still going.
I received my latest 'Inside Track' yesterday. But I'm still waiting for my catalogues and membership card from my last renewal. (Renewed in March!)
LOL. I just got a USPS tracking number for my membership.

I gave up on the LRRC and switched to the MTH club about 7 years ago. I renewed my MTH in April at York and just got my membership card on Thursday 7/12. I had to e mail MTH about not receiving the Lionel Corporations Tin Plate catalog. I got that the beginning of July. MTH was very quick in responding to me. I may join the LRRC again after I read all the responses to this post.

I joined to attend the red carpet event. Got my catalogs a while back and the "Inside Track' yesterday.
I wonder why the responses are so varied. I have my renewal card and all the catalogs including Tinplate and Christmas. I get e-mails about at the same rate that they had always been coming. The Inside Track came to my mailbox last week.
I am also upset that there are no new cars offered. Could it be that in the 50th anniversary series, there was no car from 1964 that was worth re-issuing?

I renewed my membership on March 13th, and I received a notice on May 28th that my membership package had been shipped to me. But it hasn't arrived yet. Some of the 'bargain price' international shipping companies can take 6-8 weeks to deliver to Europe, and this year Lionel have apparently chosen one called 'Custom Value', so I wasn't expecting a rapid delivery. But if it hasn't arrived by the end of this month, I shall be writing to them to ask very politely what is happening.

Got my catalogs a long time ago, don't remember when exactly. However, my wife's sister used to live in France and we once sent her a package there. It took at least 2 months or more to get there. The shipping was $40 something and the item was only worth probably $30-40. No idea what took so long. I think they had Air-mail or something that was faster, seems like that was maybe double the regular shipping or something like that, I couldn't believe it! This was probably around 1990 or so, IIRC. Hope your catalogs arrive soon.
Well folks bad news for those without catalogs...
Yesterday I got the "package" including a welcome letter, a pretty pathetic card I have to fill in, and a set of 2014 catalogs. I didn't see an Inside Track magazine though but that was a 50/50 being I just signed up.
Just got my Christmas catalog this week. Got an Inside Track last week.
I gave up on the LRRC a few years ago after deciding it just was not worth the money. The Inside track has very little useful information in it and it seems they only publish it when they feel like it. Paying $20 for catalogs I can get for free did not seem like a good deal.

Hi Nicole,
LRRC latest Inside Track arrived here in the UK a couple of weeks ago.
Christmas catalog arrived today .
I have not been on the forum lately due to BT 'Slamming' our phone and broadband. In total it took us 5 weeks to get broadband back and we got our original number back last Monday which was over 6 weeks!

While I too get all my catalogs for free, I joined primarily for the Inside Track. There was a good article that a friend forwarded to me on the iCab. If they keep including that the $20 will be worth it to me. And an extra set of catalogs delvered to my hope for the archives works for me.
I signed up at York a few years ago, when they gave you a gift to sign up. Well, I never got my membership info, and only some of the magazines. I did get the Inside Track, though I didn't think they were all that interesting.
I joined the LRRC when it was first created, and remained a member for a number of years. IMHO, the publications of newsletters was very erratic, and when they were published they had almost no content that was of interest to me. At the time, I was receiving multiple copies of the Lionel catalogs from my favorite dealers, so I had no need for the ones from the LRRC. I did buy a couple of the club offerings, but after a while I decided that the club was not of value to me.
I rejoined the LRRC last summer because I wanted to purchase one of the club offerings.
I received a newsletter just a few days ago.
I don't recall receiving any others (if I did, they weren't memorable).
The car was nice, but when the LRRC dues are considered, it was overpriced.
I don't think I will be renewing.
