Do any of the mth proto 3 steam engines have the pitch change like lionel has on their remote and if so how do you engage it.

Only PS3 and some newer PS2 Premier steamers have the playable whistle. Rail King engines do not have this feature.
It's engaged via the PW soft key.
thanks barry for your answers. once I push the pw soft key do I then use the thumb wheel to blow and vary the whistle? I have down loaded the manuel for the 2014 version of the gs4 and it says nothing of the whistle effect.

Yes.
Yes and if you push the thumb wheel it reverts to speed control, Push again it goes back to whistle control. Once you push the QW soft key again the effect is turned off and the thumb wheel goes back to the speed function only. G
