So, picked up an exploding box car at a flea market. The white plastic was yellowed. Read where hydrogen peroxide would bleach out the yellow. After soaking the parts for about 1 1/2 months, here's the result. Supposedly leaving it out in the sun speeds up the process. Left the parts in the sun when the weather was above freezing. The parts are whiter in real life.

Looks like it came out okay, but would it have been easier and a lot quicker to just shoot the parts with some primer and a white topcoat in your choice of sheen or were you just experimenting to see if the process works ?

This was more of an experiment plus the paint may chip off during the "explosion".
