Who bought what at the Stout Auction today?

I wasn’t thrilled with some of the “custom” paint jobs on the Atlas GN items, and didn’t feel like the un-modified Atlas items were a great deal. Maybe the Weavers were.

Having said that, I got some Atlas zephyr cars for $75 each, $89 each with the premium. Hopefully after shipping they’ll come in under $100 each. (sometimes these auction houses get a little exorbitant on the “handling” part of S&H.)

Yes, but sometimes you wind up the only buyer interested in the item you want.  I always place bids on this site for items I want, biding the maximum I would pay for it, including the premium and shipping.  Its easy to bid, and there were three items this auction.  Then I forget about it so I don't do something stupid.

Every now and then I get an email saying I won.  So far, not this time.

Good strategy for Ebay as well. Set a max and forget about it.

Glad you got some of the items. I couldn't get over the vast amount of GN 2-rail stuff. Wish I could have bid for a piece as it would have been a nice display piece! Good luck from a fellow Great Northern guy!!
