I'm detailing my new Milwaukee E-7s and am looking for cab detail to put together. I've seen the Lionel F-3 cabs and frankly think if I can get parts I can build a better cab. I have cloth diaphragms on both units and two diesel engines in the dummy unit. I know they are not a perfect match for the diesels E-7 power but you will only see them through the windows so I think they will look fine. I'm going to install a work light inside the dummy so you can see the big diesels. Thanks for any help. Don

P&D has what you need
Thanks Jdevleerjr, I knew someone made those parts but couldn't think of who. Don
Dave, a friend of mine owns this one on the mainland. Do you want me to ask him to take interior pics of the cab? Don

Don,
I like your idea. I think some sort of locomotive facility, a manufacturing plant or maintenance, would be an interesting feature on a layout.
It would cool if the O gauge manufacturers offered some of their models, in the prototype primer paint. Showcasing, illuminated, internal components is a great idea.

I live right by P&D and will be going there in a few days. I can pick up the parts you need and ship them to you if you would like. Let me know.
Hot water, I know that and I stated that. Looking through a small window is going to work out fine. Like you I've been in many F units but not E units and I know how big those diesels are. For me it's not worth the trouble to scratch build two diesel engines just to look through a very small window. Thanks though. Don

jdevleerjr, that would be great. I think all I need is the controls, seats, and a few detail parts. I have wipers and the outside stuff. I can make the back wall and add all that detail myself. Let me know the cost. Thanks again. It's the only hard part of living here, no hobby shops. Don
Hands down the P&D E/F unit cab interior is second to none!
Look at my Custom Williams F7 with the cab interior installed. well worth the asking price of the kit!
