Mine is stuck in transit in Pennsylvania and won't get delivered until next week. Have trawled through the Forum and can't see that anyone has posted pics of their Daylight version yet. Please correct me if I am wrong! Can't stand the suspense.

I will get some posted later today for you. Kind of busy yesterday.

Very kind of you Brian to hear and answer my prayer!
If you do, make sure not to post them. Some things are best left unseen, like flabby people wearing spandex.

Coming soon to you local theatre, John.
How can anyone post them since John bought them all up?
If there aren't any left, I thinking about getting a black one and having a forum member re paint it in SP colors.

I don't think you would be able to pay any self-respecting model painter enough to perform such an injustice to such a magnificent locomotive.
And Brian: LOL!
How can anyone post them since John bought them all up?
and this is believable since I was told that they are "sold out" at Lionel.

I'd be doing you all a favor if that were true. I'd be repainting them all into the correct black/graphite paint scheme and get them all delivered to all those that originally ordered it. That way everyone gets a great locomotive that retains its dignity & pays proper respect to the real ones. Then the Daylight scheme remains on the GS-class, Alco PA's, and other scale locomotives where the real ones had it, and maintains balance and harmony in the universe as it should be.
I just think its funny that John is so distracted by the paint, he hasn't even bothered to see if all of the rivets are even there

They probably are not correct either, since this model is simply a "re-issue" of the JLC SP cab forward, including even one of the road numbers (#4294).
Being a UP fan I did not order one but if I could get somebody to paint it in armor yellow and grey along the sides, etc. hmm!!!
Not wanting to send John over the edge but hey if lionel can do a daylight version then why can't I do it for the UP.
I think it would look great. John, opinions please?
Hurry guys.....I am surprised the photos aren't already here!!
Alan

The original 2005 release wasn't part of the JLC series. It is close in detail to be part of it though.
And in response to RickO, I will only comment on the number of rivets when someone post how many the real AC-12 class locomotives had, and I'll tell them if they are right or not.

That 2005 TMCC model may as well have been a JLC as it was beautifully made - I'm staring at mine now.
I am looking forward to putting the Daylight version next to it and seeing if the rivets match up.
